“Deciding to start the Alpha course was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by how welcoming and kind everyone was. There was no judgment—just a genuine invitation to explore big questions in a relaxed environment.

One of the highlights that really set the tone was the very first night. They served dinner, which immediately broke the ice. Sitting down to share a meal made me feel like I was already part of a church family. We weren't just individuals in a room; we were there together, united in our curiosity and a shared connection with Jesus.

Before Alpha, I think I had a bit of a misconception about who church was for. I quickly realised that Christianity isn’t just for the older generation. Seeing the vibrant, younger following there, was incredibly encouraging and showed me that faith is very much alive and relevant for people of all ages today.

Most importantly, the course opened my eyes to accepting Jesus in a way that felt authentic to me. It wasn't about following rules; it was about building a relationship. I also walked away with much more than just knowledge, I met some fantastic people who have become truly great friends. To this day, we remain close, supporting each other in our lives and our faith.
